I think I should start a club.

Todays recent events made me think a little bit.

I have seen so many people get in trouble and get banned for silliest of reasons. (like they don't understand the rules or they don't speak/read good English). I hate seeing people get in trouble in general. I'm a big softie when it comes to things like that.
And some of the harssment on this site is simply appaling. It's almost like you can't make a mistake in your deviations or you immediatly get branded as an art thief. Most people I have talked to generally only wish to share the cool images they have found and didn't understand the purpose of DA. None of the people I have dealt with were genuine thiefs. Absolutely none.

And after talking with those deviants, 99% of them understood thier mistake, rectified it and are on my buddies list. Thier art is beautiful and they seem generally happy in thier creations. That makes me smile. Alot.

Like I have said before, art isn't a hobby for me. Its a way of life.

So, after some thought and a quick note exchange with a good friend, I think I should start a club. This club would be the 'gentle' version of art theft hunters/whatever. However, instead of immediatly reporting them, it would be the aim of this club to help the deviant in question understand the rules of DA a little better to help PREVENT them from getting reported for something that is an honest and genuine mistake. Also to help further that deviants confidence in thier own work through tips/tutorials/encouragement. Call me a tree huggin' dirt kissin' hippy if you must, but this is what I feel.

Reporting would be a last resort in this club.
