The old man who lives next door to me yelled at me today for not caring who won the election.

Said I was one of the too many lazy youth of today. Me? Lazy? Laid back and lazy are completely different things. Simply because I didn't get my little lacy panties in a twist because a black man is now our president....I am now lazy. Where is the logic in that again?

People seem to forget that it's not just the presidents job to change the country. All of us have that job. The person riding in the presidents seat is human, just like the rest of us. They are born, they live and they die. We all do.

Both men seemed passionate about what they wanted to do for the country. Frankly, McCains speech last night was epic in my opinion. He was not rude or disrespectful (can't say the same about some members of the audience) and took the defeat with grace and dignity.

Obama did the same. He accepted his victory with grace and dignity.

But all in all, no matter who is president, we are all still alive. We still have to get up, go to our respectful jobs and live out our lives.

How about we all just put a little more effort into making our bonds with eachother and others around the world stronger instead of focusing so much on wealth and materialistic crap? Lets put some effort in to fixing some stuff up so that future generations won't be as bitter and angry as the grumpy old man who yelled at me this morning.

The most rediculously awesome South Park episode was on last night poking fun at this madness. Strangely enough, I felt a little better after watching them make fun of all the stupid drama we've been causing about this. I couldn't help but laugh at how silly it all was. We need to all lighten up a little bit. McCain's speech was awesome and yes, I'm a little disappointed that he didn't win but it's not the end of the world. Life goes on.

I'm ready to move on from all this nonsense now and get back to living life. c: It seems the old man needs to relax too and let things go. Shit will be alright. And if it's not, we can just vote the guy out of office next time. It's that simple.

I know. Although some of the horribly racist jokes a few of my friends who are McCain supporters have been funny. I know they aren't serious, and they seem to be more relaxed now.

One of the said, "Obama for president huh? Well, that's four years of darkness."

I don't know why, but that one had me laughing pretty hard.

Inorite

Im tired of people saying Obama's going to get assassinated or my aunt said by a school near her house the kids are planing to kill all the black kids there.

I can't believe the world today

It makes me sad that people think segregation hasn't ended yet.
